Padraig Harrington
Padraig Harrington is the first Irishman to win back-to-back British Open titles and the first Irishman to win the British Open (2007) in sixty years - only the second in the storied 136 year history of the tournament and it was also the first major win by a European in 8 years. His 2007 British Open victory made history with a stirring, four hole playoff duel versus Sergio Garcia that will long linger in British Open lore.
Harrington has competed in over 100 PGA Tour events, winning three majors, including back-to-back major wins in 2008 at The Open Championship and the USPGA. He has more than 25 top-10 finishes, during which time he has earned more than $10 million in prize money.
2008 British Open Champion
2008 USPGA Open Champion
2007 British Open Champion
In 2006 Harrington chose White Oak as his stateside home when playing in North America, which he does nearly half of every year. Following his visit to White Oak in August 2008, work has begun on his American residence.
